Family Medicine Physician

Location: Gales Ferry, Connecticut

Practice: Gales Ferry Medical Group

Schedule:

  • Flexible Options: Full-time (4 days per week) or Part-time (minimum 3 days per week)

Position Overview:

Gales Ferry Medical Group, a well-established independent medical practice serving southeastern Connecticut since 1970, is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician. The role involves providing comprehensive primary care, including sick and well visits, as well as some gynecologic services, to a diverse patient population.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting: Outpatient only
  • Patient Volume: 18-22 patients per day
  • Conduct routine and acute patient consultations, including sick and well visits of patients ages 16+
  • Provide gynecologic care as part of comprehensive primary care services.
  • Develop and manage personalized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic conditions.
  • Emphasize preventive care and health maintenance strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Family Medicine, or Board Eligible within 2 years of residency completion.
  • Valid Connecticut medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on preventive medicine.
