Locum Tenens – Family/Internal Medicine Physician
Location: Fairfield, NJ
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: 4.5 days/week + 2 Saturdays/month

A well-established private practice in Fairfield, NJ is seeking a Board-Certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician for locum tenens coverage while a provider is on leave. This is a highly flexible outpatient role with no supervision responsibilities, making it ideal for experienced local providers looking to step into a busy, organized practice with a great support system.

📍 Practice Highlights:

• Patient Volume: 20–30 patients/day

• Population: Adult & Geriatric

• Support: 2-physician practice with on-site Laboratory & Radiology

• EMR: AthenaHealth (experience preferred)

• Procedures Required:

  • General: EKG interpretation

  • Surgical: Incision & Drainage, Suturing minor lacerations

  • Occupational Medicine: Employment physicals, disability exams, management of common work-related medical issues

💼 Job Requirements:

• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine – Required

• Active New Jersey license – Required

• Local Candidates Only – Only mileage will be reimbursed

• In-network with Horizon BCBS (outpatient, not delegated) – Must provide confirmation

• BLS Certification – Required

• Up to $220/hour (based on experience & fit)

• Local travel reimbursement (mileage only)
