This flexible PRN role allows you to make a difference while maintaining your professional independence.
In this role, you will conduct interview-based exams, perform basic physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing, and help ensure veterans receive the benefits and care they deserve. No prescribing or treatment is involved, making it an ideal opportunity for those with a background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension evaluations.

Required Skills:
- Medical license in good standing in Texas or the ability to practice in the state
- Prior experience in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedics, or general medicine
- Strong communication and interview skills
- Ability to perform basic physical assessments
- Attention to detail and accuracy in report writing
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with veterans’ health assessments or disability exams
- Familiarity with compensation and pension evaluation procedures
- Certifications related to medical assessments or evaluations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Active medical licensure and certification
- Prior experience conducting evaluations or assessments in a clinical or Veterans Affairs setting
Other Requirements:
- Must have own office location or be local to Uvalde, TX, or Ft. Davis, TX
- Ability to work on a PRN basis, with flexibility for half-day or full-day shifts
- Willingness to undergo credentialing and onboarding quickly
- Travel included in pay rates for local candidates
- No reimbursed certifications or portal training costs prior to start
