We are seeking a skilled Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine to provide critical assessments and evaluations across the country. In this role, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a PRN basis, utilizing your medical knowledge to support veterans’ well-being. The position offers flexible hours—half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours)—allowing you to balance work and personal commitments. No treatment or prescribing is involved; assessments are interview-based with some physical evaluations, focusing on range of motion and muscle strength testing. Quick credentialing and onboarding process ensure you can begin making an impact promptly.

Required Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD/DO) with active license in good standing
  • Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
  • Experience with compensation and pension assessments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to perform physical assessments and interviews effectively

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with VA or military-related evaluations
  • Certification in specific assessment procedures
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and report submission

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related specialty
  • Experience in performing physical evaluations and assessments

Other Requirements:
  • Local candidates preferred; travel included in rates
  • Ability to complete administrative follow-up work, including report addendums and medical opinions
  • Availability to work starting February 2, 2026

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $624, with no overtime, holiday, or OT rates applied. You will receive a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing required training and your first exams.
