In this role, you will perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments on a PRN basis, utilizing your medical knowledge to support veterans’ well-being. The position offers flexible hours—half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours)—allowing you to balance work and personal commitments. No treatment or prescribing is involved; assessments are interview-based with some physical evaluations, focusing on range of motion and muscle strength testing. Quick credentialing and onboarding process ensure you can begin making an impact promptly.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $624, with no overtime, holiday, or OT rates applied. You will receive a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing required training and your first exams. Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD/DO) with active license in good standing
- Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine
- Experience with compensation and pension assessments preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical assessments and interviews effectively
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with VA or military-related evaluations
- Certification in specific assessment procedures
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and report submission
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related specialty
- Experience in performing physical evaluations and assessments
Other Requirements:
- Local candidates preferred; travel included in rates
- Ability to complete administrative follow-up work, including report addendums and medical opinions
- Availability to work starting February 2, 2026
