Required Skills
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with licensure in good standing.
- Background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or general medicine.
- Experience with Compensation & Pension exams or within the veteran healthcare space is highly desirable.
- Strong interview and physical assessment capabilities, including range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Ability to work independently within designated locations and adhere to scheduled shifts.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience with VA or military-related medical assessments.
- Certification in related specialties or additional training in veteran health assessments.
- Familiarity with telehealth tools or remote document submission.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in primary care, internal medicine, or a related field.
- Proven track record performing Compensation & Pension exams or similar evaluations.
Other Requirements
- Own a dedicated office space within the specified radius of Juneau, Sitka, or Delta Junction, Alaska.
- Must have access to reliable internet and medical exam equipment as needed.
- Willingness to complete required training and administrative follow-up.
- Able to work on a PRN basis with flexibility for half-day or full-day shifts.
