Chief of Primary Care Opportunity
- Location: Hermiston, OR - Portland 185m
- Full-time, permanent position
- 70% Clinical, 30% Administrative
Position Overview:
Seeking a dynamic and experienced physician leader to serve as Chief of Primary Care. This hybrid role combines clinical excellence with strategic leadership across Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine. Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary: $340K-$375K

Key Responsibilities:
*Clinical (70%)*
Provide direct patient care in primary care settings
Serve as a role model and mentor to other providers
Ensure adherence to best practices and quality care standards
*Leadership (30%)*
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention of primary care providers
Oversee quality metrics and continuous improvement initiatives
Monitor and enhance provider performance
Support program development, including RHC and PCPCH initiatives
Collaborate on budget preparation and management
Strengthen referral processes and interdepartmental collaboration
Participate in strategic planning and quality/operations committees
Qualifications:
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine
Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in Oregon
Minimum 5 years of clinical primary care experience
Minimum 3 years of healthcare leadership experience
Strong understanding of healthcare quality metrics and performance improvement
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred:
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
