In this role, you will conduct interview-based evaluations along with physical assessments, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with active license in California
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to perform brief physical examinations
- Experience with compensation and pension evaluations preferred
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with VA or government contract exams
- Familiarity with disability or health assessments
- Comfortable working independently in various settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years clinical practice experience
- Prior experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery
Other Requirements:
- Valid California medical license
- Own office (for providers at designated locations)
- Ability to travel locally within specified radius requirements
- Completion of required training and credentialing prior to starting
- Willingness to work PRN basis, including half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
- Availability to start on 12/31/2025
Compensation:
- Half-day Rate: $624 flat rate (up to 4 hours)
- Full-day Rate: $1,248 flat rate (8 hours)
- One-time training bonus of $650 upon completion of initial exams
- Travel and licensure reimbursements where applicable
