Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company committed to serving our nation's veterans, is looking for experienced providers to conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments nationwide. What You’ll Do:
- Perform one-time non-treatment exams, primarily interview-based with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Conduct assessments at your own office location within designated radius requirements, working on a PRN, ongoing basis.
- Complete exams efficiently, submit reports, and perform follow-up administrative work as needed.
- Engage in remote or in-office work with flexible hours, including half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) shifts.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree and valid medical license in your state.
- Background in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine.
- Experience with compensation and pension exams preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to perform physical assessments.
- Ability to work independently at your own office location within stipulated mileage guidelines.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with veterans’ assessments or government contracts.
- Knowledge of physical examination procedures and documentation.
- Familiarity with medical reporting systems and administrative tasks.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO Degree from an accredited institution.
- Active medical license with no restrictions.
- At least 2 years of clinical experience, especially in general or internal medicine.
Other Requirements:
- Candidates must own and operate their own office space within the specified radius.
- Local candidates only; travel included in compensation rates.
- Willingness to complete required training and perform initial exams.
- No requirement for prescribing medications or treatment; exams are interview-based with some physical assessments.
- Certification in applicable areas and flexibility to work on a PRN schedule.
Compensation:
- Hourly pay rate: $624.00 (Note: All examinations are compensated at flat rates as detailed below.)
- Flat Rates:
- $800 for half-day (up to 4 hours) examinations.
- $1,600 for full-day (5+ hours) examinations.
- Bonus of $650 upon completion of all required training and first exams.
- Reimbursement for licensure, certification, travel, and other applicable expenses.
