Join Our Team as a Locum Physician - General Medicine AZ and Make a Difference in Veterans’ Lives

Elevate your medical career by providing vital assessments for our nation's veterans as a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine in Arizona. Play a crucial role in conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, supporting veterans' benefits and health evaluations, all while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation. This opportunity allows you to leverage your medical expertise in a meaningful way, with the convenience of PRN, per diem shifts across multiple locations.

Required Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with full licensure in Arizona
  • Board-certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
  • Experience in general medicine and familiarity with compensation and pension evaluations
  • Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Excellent communication and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience performing C&P exams or similar assessments
  • Knowledge of veterans’ healthcare and benefits processes
  • Ability to operate within a fast-paced, document-driven environment

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO with active Arizona medical license
  • Prior work in a government or military healthcare setting preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or related fields

Other Requirements:
  • Must reside within designated service radii for respective locations or have own office space as specified
  • Ability to perform both full-days (8 hours) and half-days (4 hours) shifts
  • Willingness to accept travel reimbursements and adhere to all onboarding requirements
  • No prescribing or treatment involved; exams are interview-based with limited physical assessments

Compensation:
  • $624.00 hourly rate
  • Flat rate of $800 for half-day (4-hour) shifts
  • Flat rate of $1,600 for full-day (8-hour) shifts
  • One-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and initial exams
  • Weekly pay via direct deposit, with comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) and paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws
  • Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable
