Required Skills
- Valid medical license in Kentucky or eligible for licensure
- Board certification or equivalent in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine specialties
- Prior experience with compensation and pension exams is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to conduct interviews and physical assessments effectively
- Ability to work independently in a private office setting within the required geographic radius
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience performing VA C&P exams or similar assessments
- Familiarity with federal medical protocols and documentation requirements
- Prior work with government or veteran healthcare services
Preferred Education and Experience
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine or related fields
- Prior locum or federal exam experience is a plus
- Certification in medical photography or diagnostic assessments is advantageous
Other Requirements
- Own a private practice or office location within a 50-mile radius of Paducah, KY
- Availability to work 2 days per week in Paducah, KY or as needed for PRN engagements starting from March 6, 2026
- Willingness to perform exams that are interview and physical assessment based, with no prescriptions or treatment responsibilities
- Ability to efficiently complete exams and report documentation within scheduled timeframes
- Participation in training programs; certification and portal training costs are not reimbursable by the client
