Join Our Team as a Locum Physician in General Medicine – NY

Play a vital role in serving our nation's Veterans by conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across New York. This flexible, PRN position allows you to contribute to a meaningful cause while maintaining your professional independence. Whether you're seeking to supplement your income or gain new experience, this role offers both flexibility and purpose in a supportive environment.

Required Skills:
  • Medical license valid in New York State
  • Board-certified or eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine fields
  • Prior experience with compensation and pension exams is advantageous
  • Excellent interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to protocols

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience working within government or veteran healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with VA or military health assessments
  • Prior telemedicine or remote assessment experience
  • Additional certifications in related specialties

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Minimum of 2 years clinical practice, preferably with experience in general medicine or veteran exams
  • Proven ability to complete documentation accurately and efficiently

Other Requirements:
  • Must own a suitable office location in NY for conducting exams
  • Travel expenses included in rate; local candidates only
  • Willingness to perform both half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities
  • Quick credentialing and onboarding process
  • Available to start on 02/02/2026, with ongoing PRN engagement
