As a Locum - Physician in General Medicine, you will conduct essential Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across Missouri, supporting those who have served our nation. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine clinical expertise with meaningful service, all while enjoying competitive compensation and flexible scheduling.

Required Skills:
  • Valid medical license in Missouri or the ability to obtain one promptly
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related fields
  • Proven experience with general medical assessments and examinations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to perform interview-based assessments with some physical testing (range of motion, muscle strength)
  • Familiarity with veteran health services or compensation and pension exam protocols is preferred

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience conducting Compensation & Pension or separation health assessments
  • Certification in DMA or related credentials
  • Comfortable working independently in private office settings within a 50-mile radius of designated locations
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Active medical license in Missouri
  • At least 1-2 years of clinical practice in general medicine or relevant assessments
  • Experience with office-based interview and physical assessment techniques

Other Requirements:
  • Must own or have access to your own office location within the specified geographic areas
  • Willingness to work on a PRN basis, with flexible half or full-day shifts
  • Ability to complete exams efficiently, including report submission and addendums
  • Local candidates only; travel is included within the rate
  • No prescribing, treatment, or Medicaid certifications required
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality assessments in accordance with federal and state guidelines
