Join our team as a Locum Physician in General Medicine and make a meaningful impact by providing essential healthcare assessments for our nation's Veterans. This flexible, rewarding opportunity allows you to work on an PRN basis across multiple locations, performing non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. Required Skills:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid medical license to practice in Missouri.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine specialties.
  • Proven experience with non-treatment exams, including interview-based assessments and physical testing such as range of motion and muscle strength evaluations.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently within a defined geographic area.
  • Familiarity with medical documentation and report submission.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience in veteran healthcare or compliance with VA requirements.
  • Knowledge of compensation and pension evaluation procedures.
  • Experience with telehealth or electronic medical records systems.
  • Additional certifications related to healthcare assessments.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
  • Active state medical license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in general medicine or related fields.
  • Experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations is advantageous but not mandatory.

Other Requirements:
  • Own office location within a 50-mile radius of assigned sites.
  • Willingness to work on a PRN basis, including half-day or full-day shifts.
  • Ability to complete exams and submit reports efficiently.
  • Local candidates preferred; travel expenses are included in the pay rate.
  • No billable rates apply, and OT pay is not applicable.
  • Certification in DMA or portal training is not reimbursed prior to work commencement.
  • Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and certification.
