We are seeking a qualified Locum Physician to perform Compensation and Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across North Carolina. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments based on interview and physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Perform one-time non-treatment exams with no prescribing or treatment responsibilities.
- Complete exams at your own office location within specified radius requirements.
- Submit detailed reports and addendums efficiently within designated timeframes.
- Participate on a PRN basis with options to work half-day or full-day shifts.
Required Skills:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure and certification in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine field.
- Experience with compensation and pension assessments or veterans’ healthcare preferred.
- Strong interviewing skills and physical assessment capabilities.
- Ability to manage administrative follow-up tasks accurately.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience in veteran healthcare or disability exams.
- Comfort with physical assessments such as range of motion testing.
- Knowledge of veterans’ benefits and assessment procedures.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree.
- Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in general medicine.
- Prior experience with compensation and pension exams is advantageous.
Other Requirements:
- Own office location within specified radius for exam conduct.
- Willingness to complete required credentialing and onboarding promptly.
- Local candidates only; travel and related reimbursements included in rates.
- Availability to perform exams weekly across multiple assigned locations.
- Must adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws regarding licensure and practice.
