Job Opportunity: Physician - Family Medicine in Plymouth, IN

Join a dynamic family medicine practice in Plymouth, Indiana, where you will be part of a growing team dedicated to providing quality healthcare in an outpatient setting. The facility is located off-site from the hospital and operates as a safety net clinic. With a collaborative environment including two physicians and one nurse practitioner, this position offers the chance to engage in various patient care activities while enjoying the nearby cultural richness of the University of Notre Dame.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient assessments, evaluations, and treatment in both hospital and medical office settings.
  • Work directly with patients across all age groups, from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Perform basic laboratory services and procedures as needed.
  • Engage in teaching opportunities with family medicine residents.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical healthcare directives.
  • Conduct complete history and physical assessments, as well as diagnostic tests.
  • Communicate diagnostic results clearly and accurately to patients.
  • Prescribe treatments and manage care plans, while documenting all actions in compliance with standards.
  • Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment options, and wellness strategies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver individualized care.
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Show flexibility in scheduling and coverage as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (Internal Medicine is not accepted).
  • Experience dealing with patients of all ages, particularly pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Knowledge of EPIC EMR is highly preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • COVID-19 vaccination required.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Active Indiana medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Board certification or eligibility must be valid and within 5 years of residency.
