Family Medicine opening in Virginia - Located in Galax, VA - Roanoke 95m - Full-time, permanent position - Seeking a FM or IM physician to assume an existing, successful, busy practice - J1 visa sponsorship The current physician is well-respected and extremely patient-focused, so the ideal candidate will embody a patient-centered approach to the provision of primary care and will be comfortable working alongside Advanced Practice Providers. A charming, safe, progressive community nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of southwestern Virginia, Hillsville is easily accessible by car and by air. The town is served by two primary state highways, Routes 58 and 221, and Interstate highway 77. The residents are friendly and hardworking, extending open arms to business, industry, and visitors. Facility is located in Galax, Virginia, about 13 miles to the south of Hillsville. Galax is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains which offer a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy such as the New River Trail State Park, hunting, fishing, and canoeing, kayaking or tubing on the New River. Also, the Appalachian Trail passes through our area providing scenic views and great hiking. The Virginia Creeper Trail, one of the areas most popular trails begins at Whitetop Station.
