Job Title: Locum - Physician - General Medicine IN

Overview:
Join Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company, as a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine. This impactful role involves conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for our nation's Veterans across various locations in Indiana. As a vital part of our team, you will provide essential medical evaluations while enjoying flexible scheduling and competitive compensation. Your expertise will directly contribute to supporting Veterans' benefits and healthcare needs, offering a rewarding professional experience.

Required Skills:
  • Valid medical license in Indiana or willing to obtain one
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or relevant general medicine specialties
  • Experience in completing medical assessments, interviews, and physical examinations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in documentation and report submission

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Prior experience with Compensation & Pension exams or similar evaluations
  • Familiarity with Veteran healthcare processes
  • Comfortable with physically assessing range of motion and muscle strength
  • Ability to adapt to varied work environments and travel as needed

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in general medicine or related field
  • Prior experience in a remote or mobile assessment setting is a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work PRN, on an as-needed basis, with flexible hours including days and half-days
  • Must live within 50 miles of designated locations or have own office space at specific sites
  • Willingness to perform quick credentialing and onboarding processes
  • Valid certifications, with reimbursements considered for licensure and travel where applicable
  • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities involved
