North Country Healthcare is looking for a Permanent Medical Director in picturesque, small town New Hampshire!

Job Description:
  • Fulltime outpatient position with leadership/Division Chair interest.
  • Seeking a provider who plans to stay and practice within the community
  • Serves as the clinician who oversees and guides the outpatient care and the medical director(s) of quality for primary care, facilitates office flow and addresses day-to-day clinical aspects, and acts as the direct clinical supervisor for outpatient medical practitioners
  • The Primary Care Medical Director will spend 1/3 of the scheduled time, approximately 12 hours per week on Medical Director Responsibilities and 2/3 of time, 28 hours per week as a primary care clinician and will work collaboratively and cooperatively as a member of the health care team within the Health Centers and the Hospital
  • 20-24 patients per day
  • Enjoys EMR Optimization, implementation and development, best practice strategies as well as direct patient care
  • Community call (including local nursing home patients) TBD, likely 1:4
  • EMR is Meditech Expanse, Dragon dictation
  • Reports to the Chief Medical Officer
  • Supported by an RN Team leader and designated MA
  • Specialist services available through Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital a couple times per week. Audiology, Cardiology, ENT/Allergy, General Surgery, Neurology, OB/GYN, Orthopaedics, Podiatry, Pulmonary Medicine, Radiology, Sleep Medicine,Tele-Medicine Rheumatology, Urology.
  • Excellent IT and Marketing support to help build volume
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Board Certified Family Medicine OR Internal Medicine (will consider Board Eligible but must have plans to become Board Certified shortly after employment)
  • NH license (or willing to obtain)
  • 5+ years in practice in outpatient primary care
  • BLS, ACLS
  • Leadership training and/or experience
