Overview

This position will cover our Holy Cross ministries located in Utah.

Successful candidate ia eligible for a $10,000 sigh-on bonus plus relocation assistance where applicable.

The Enterprise Regional Medical Director for our Greater Salt Lake Market will join a team seeking to truly optimize health care for the communities we serve. The Enterprise Regional Medical Director will commit to developing clinical teams (currently 110 providers) that will provide leadership to create the highest quality and cost-effective healthcare within our integrated delivery system. Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for the CommonSpirit Health Medical Group (CMG), the Enterprise Regional Medical Director will be accountable for identifying and implementing opportunities to meet organizational strategic goals, physician alignment, patient experience, financial performance, and provider and staff engagement, and produce excellent clinical outcomes. Leads and develops effective multidisciplinary approaches to clinical outcome management and environments of quality, safety, and engagement. The Enterprise Regional Medical Director will foster and support the evolution of the CommonSpirit Health Holy Cross ministries and the execution of sustainable, growing, and distinctive organization that measurably improves the health of the individuals and the communities CMG serves.


The Enterprise Regional Medical Director will be an active participant and work collaboratively with other leadership teams to continually assess, development, implement, and achieve the market's and the medical group’s goals, strategies, and outcomes. The Enterprise Regional Medical Director will work closely with corporate leadership teams, entity leadership teams, and medical staff in the development planning, network development, practice acquisition and physician recruitment to ensure the ability to provide high quality, accessible care to the communities it serves.


Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout the organization. Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Doctorate degree (either MD or DO) and current and unrestricted license to practice in Utah
  • Three years' (3) experience in delivery of physician services and medical staff administration with proven success in progressive responsibility in healthcare leadership
  • Medical staff relations, quality measurement credentialing and previous medical management experience highly desirable
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission, managed care and health policy is essential with proven success in effective integration of medical management
  • Board certified in an approved clinical specialty required while in clinical practices
