**Primary Care Physician opportunity in Freeland, Washington**_x000D_ - Located in Freeland, WA - Seattle 120m_x000D_ _x000D_ **Position Details:**_x000D_ _x000D_ - Full-time, Days 10 hour, 4 days per week_x000D_ - Primary Care & Walk-in Clinics_x000D_ - Responsibilities include direct patient care, oversight/supervision of mid-level practitioners, liaison activities with local medical staff members and participation in policy development and long-term planning for clinic operations._x000D_ - Provides direct services to patients on ongoing basis at clinic sites, via current caseload as well as consultation with mid-level staff._x000D_ - Provides for the clinical supervision of mid-level staff, and remains available as a resource for planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care services._x000D_ - Periodically reviews medical records as part of patient care evaluation process._x000D_ - Ensures that ongoing patient and family education is provided and facilitates the development & evaluation of standardized education plans and approaches._x000D_ - Assists in ongoing Quality Improvement activities, including planning, conducting, reporting, and evaluation via the performance review process._x000D_ - Provides leadership and direction to mid-level practitioner staff in accordance with practice act guidelines, as well as department & system goals and objectives._x000D_ - Assists in professional growth and development of clinical staff, including education within and beyond the department._x000D_ - Participates in and fosters ongoing staff communication and support via regular staff meetings, work group meetings, committees, etc._x000D_ _x000D_ *Works closely with the Clinic Manager to:*_x000D_ _x000D_ - Foster open, supportive communication and conflict management within and beyond the clinics._x000D_ - Establish and maintain a departmental climate conducive to healthy work relationships and collaboration._x000D_ - Participates in interdepartmental meetings and work groups as required or requested._x000D_ - Serves as a resource to other departments and community providers as needed._x000D_ - Provides community education and/or information as requested and attends community meetings as appropriate._x000D_ - Assumes responsibility for own professional education and developmental needs, and seeks support and assistance as needed. _x000D_ _x000D_ *The following are expectations of all employees:*_x000D_ _x000D_ - Attends a minimum of 80% of monthly department provider meetings throughout the year. Actively participates in monthly department provider meetings, to include active participation in setting department goals and supporting department functions to meet set goals._x000D_ - Checks hospital email account a minimum of three (3) times per week._x000D_ - Utilizes AIDET in all interactions with patients, employees, and visitors._x000D_ - Completes all mandatory education within given timeframe._x000D_ - Adheres to all hospital, department, and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines at all times._x000D_ - All employees are required to maintain confidentiality in accordance with organizational policy, state and federal regulations including not but limited to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). _x000D_ _x000D_ **Qualifications & Job Knowledge:**_x000D_ _x000D_ - Education:_x000D_ - Degree in medicine (MD or DO) from a nationally accredited allopathic or osteopathic medical school._x000D_ _x000D_ - Training and Experience:_x000D_ - A minimum of three years as a physician, practicing in a primary care specialty._x000D_ - Minimum of one to three years experience in supervision of mid-level practitioners and/or rural health clinic setting preferred. _x000D_ - Must demonstrate ability to provide oversight and support to mid-level staff. _x000D_ - Must possess working knowledge of factors impacting clinic practice and rural health clinic status, including standards of care, reimbursement issues, industry trends, and networking._x000D_ _x000D_ - Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:_x000D_ - Current professional licensure in Washington State required._x000D_ - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or Geriatrics required._x000D_ - Active unrestricted DEA license required._x000D_ - BLS & ACLS required._x000D_ _x000D_ **Benefit Information and Wage Transparency:**_x000D_ _x000D_ - Employees who work a 0.5 FTE or higher are categorized as, benefit eligible._x000D_ - Full-Time Salary Range: $250,000 - $275,000_x000D_ - Sign-On Bonus Available Up To $20K_x000D_ - Medical and Prescription Coverage_x000D_ - Dental, Vision coverage_x000D_ - Healthcare flexible spending account_x000D_ - Life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance_x000D_ - Voluntary life insurance_x000D_ - Long-term disability plan_x000D_ - EAP_x000D_ _x000D_ **About the location:**_x000D_ _x000D_ Freeland is a fast-growing, unincorporated community on South Whidbey Island.
