• Coverage Needed
  • ASAP - Ongoing
  • Seeking General Medicine Providers to work with Veterans performing Compensation & Pension exams + Separation Health Assessments across the country.
  • Block-time availability is preferred but willing to accept providers with sporadic availability - will be on an as-needed basis.
• Schedule
  • Day Shifts. Full day (5 hours or Longer) or Half Days (4 hours or less)
  • As-Needed Basis
  • Not a set schedule. Some providers work 9am – 5pm, 12pm – 4pm, 8am – 5pm, etc
• Clinical Details
  • One-Time non-treatment C&P exams + separation health assessments
  • Travel to facility to complete exam or perform exam within own practice - within 50 miles
  • All patients are Veterans
  • No prescribing, no treatment
  • Duties: Proficient in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions, DBQs
  • Training shall be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs)
  • Reporting/DBQs must be submitted within 48 hours upon exam completion - no narrative report. End product is completion of standardized form(s).
  • Record review and Follow-up administrative work will be required on a regular basis (Addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
• Requirements
  • Must be willing to get DMA Certified upon hire
  • DMA certification available (can get CME credits) – will need to obtain once privileged if not already certified
  • Proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions - Required
  • Active VA License
  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible within 0-3 years of residency - Required
  • Previous compensation and pension evaluation experience
  • Must be willing to wear a mask during all visits - Required
  • Must have own laptop/computer
  • no Apple/Mac Products
  • Use of Goniometer - required
  • Familiar with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardio – required
  • Active and unrestricted full license - Required, provide license # at time of name clear
  • Must live at address within 50 miles of site - CV needs current home address listed
  • Will need a copy of ECFMG certificate if attended school in a different country
