Job Title: Family Medicine Physician - Outpatient

We pride ourselves on providing compassionate and comprehensive care to our patients in a supportive and collaborative environment. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Physician to join our outpatient team.

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a board-certified Family Medicine Physician to join our outpatient clinic in Honolulu, HI. The Family Medicine Physician will play a key role in providing primary care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with no nights, call, or weekends, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages, including preventive care, acute illness management, and chronic disease management, in an outpatient setting.
  • Conduct thorough medical assessments, including medical history, physical examination, and diagnostic evaluation, to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and perform minor procedures as needed to address patients' healthcare needs.
  • Educate patients and families about health promotion, disease prevention, and self-management strategies to optimize health and wellness.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and support staff, to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of care.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely in the electronic health record (EHR) system in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and continuing education activities to enhance clinical practice and patient outcomes.
  • Maintain professional licensure and board certification, staying abreast of current guidelines, standards of care, and best practices in family medicine.

Requirements:

  • Board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine is required.
  • Current licensure as a physician in the state of Hawaii.
  • Previous experience in outpatient primary care is preferred but not required.
  • Strong clinical skills and proficiency in primary care practice, including acute and chronic disease management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with patients and families.
  • Commitment to providing patient-centered care with a focus on quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Willingness to work a Monday to Friday schedule, 7:30am to 4:30pm, with no nights, call, or weekends.
