Role Overview:
The Indian Health Service in Mescalero, NM is seeking a dedicated Physician to provide non-personal healthcare services in patient care delivery. This role demands a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Doctor, ready to work in various settings including home, community, and urgent care.
Job Responsibilities
Provide direct medical care in line with privileges granted by the medical staff.
Contribute to patient care for various age groups, including exposure to outpatient COVID patients.
Offer comprehensive health services, including emergency medical treatment and guidance for COVID Positive patients.
Perform medical assessments, diagnose, and create action plans.
Interpret x-ray and laboratory test results.
Engage in community outreach activities.
Collaborate in medical decision-making and emergency care.
Ensure thorough documentation in the Electronic Health Record as per MSU HIM Internal Control policy.
Participate in Quality Assurance/Risk Management and peer review functions.
Maintain knowledge of PPE usage for infection control.
Adhere to Medical Staff Bylaws and MSU credentialing requirements.
