Adventist Health Sonora is actively seeking a mission-minded Family Medicine Physician to work in a Medical Directorship role. This position will provide the selected candidate to lead a multi-specialty team at a designate Rural Health Center in the Sierra Foothills. The position will include patient care, APP oversight as well as working with Family Medicine Residents as they complete their Family Medicine Rural Training Track. The Rural Health Center provides both primary and specialty coverage to members in our community.

The position is primarily located in an outpatient rural health clinic. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both primary care and in administrative leadership positions. The candidate will provide leadership and show a demonstrated capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all employees in a team-oriented environment. The directorship expectation is 24 hours per month. The position will be hired through Adventist Health’s affiliated group, Physicians Network Medical Group.

Sonora is an idyllic town on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Fondly known as “gold country,” Sonora is ideally located within a few hours from Sacramento and San Francisco, close to Yosemite National Park.

Candidates must be BC/BE, be CA licensed or eligible and meeting the hospital’s medical staff credentialing standards.

Employed model through Adventist Health Medical Group (AHMG)

Wage Scale: $261,347 -$313,258/year
