Our client in North Carolina is seeking a locums’ family medicine physician for a 6 month, possibly longer, need they have in the Outer Banks due to one of their physicians retiring. The need starts in April and all travel and lodging will be fully covered. Here are some more details below about the need. Thank you.
The clinic is located on beautiful Hatteras Island in Avon, North Carolina. The right candidate will be caring for an established panel of patients whose long-time physician just retired. The clinic is supported by an all RN staff and 2 additional physicians. NC DEA, NC license required.
Job Responsibilities
6 month coverage needed starting in April 2024, with the possibility to extend. Hours will be Monday-Thursday, 8-5.
Job Details:
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• NC DEA, NC license required with no exceptions
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• ATLS(preferred)
• Required Procedures: Simple laceration repair, Simple lesion removals
• Outpatient Only
• EPIC EMR
• Must see all ages
• Average # of Patients/Day/Provider: 18-20
• Clinic includes 6 exam rooms, a trauma room, on-site lab and x-ray
