Family Medicine Opening in Oregon (Residency Program) Newport, Oregon Family Medicine Residency Program is recruiting for a core faculty physician in Oregon It is expected that the core faculty member allocates 60 percent of their time, 24 hours per week, to residency core faculty duties (academic) and 12 hours per week of patient scheduled practice (clinical). The network serves approximately 300,000 residents in Linn, Benton, Lincoln and portions of Polk and Marion counties. Academic Job Specifics Provide adequate levels of supervision to residents in the clinical setting appropriate to their level of competency and training. Collaborate with the Program Director to ensure that the administration of the residency program is within accreditation standards, that residency graduates are eligible for board certification, and the program is utilizing resources in a prospective and cost-efficient manner. Curriculum development, coordination and implementation and presentation of didactics and educational sessions Facilitate the majority of these educational conferences with contributions from other family medicine faculty, community faculty members or specialty faculty as appropriate Engage in any or all areas of scholarship and promotion of inquiry. Faculty members will contribute to the advancement of the discipline of family medicine, developing a reputation in an area of interest at the regional and national level. Participate in Faculty Development (Identity, Growth and Empowerment) that involves regularly scheduled designed to enhance the effectiveness of teaching, administration, leadership, scholarship, clinical, and behavioral components of faculty members performance.
