Medcare Staffing has an immediate need for locum tenens coverage in North Carolina.
We are a family medicine practice and see patients of all ages, including well baby/child appointments, annual physicals, and hospital follow-ups. We also function like an urgent care clinic for the many tourists who visit our remote island, seeing many same day, walk-in appointments for everything from colds and sore throats to lacerations and injuries. Our facility has six exam rooms, a trauma room, moderately complex lab and x-ray. Due to the smaller size of our facility and the number of employed providers, only two providers work on any given day.
- NC DEA, NC license required with no exceptions
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications required
- Required Procedures: Simple laceration repair, Simple lesion removals
- Outpatient Only
- EPIC EMR
- Average # of Patients/Day/Provider: 18-20
- Clinic includes 6 exam rooms, a trauma room, on-site lab and x-ray
- RN and two physicians on staff
- Established patient base
April 2024 start for six months with option to extend.
Work Monday-Thursday 8 hour shifts
