The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting an outpatient Family Medicine physician for a community health center (also called a federally qualified health center) in Keokuk, IA.

This community health center's mission is, "Provide quality comprehensive healthcare from a community-orientated partner, accessible to all."

Here are the details:

  • Clinic Hours: Mon/Tues/Wed/Fri: 7AM – 5PM; Thursday 7am - 7 PM
  • Provider Schedule: 40 hours/week within clinic hours of operation with 36 patient contact hours, 4 hours admin.
  • Evenings/weekend: Some Thursday evening hours until 6 or 7, no weekends at this time.
  • Patient time slots: 30 mins – new patient, 15 min follow up
  • Avg Patients: 16-24 patients/day
  • Current provider staff: 4 FM ARNP, 1 Peds ARNP, 1 Psych ARNP, 1 LISW
  • Other clinical staff/nursing: 1 CMA or LPN/provider; 1 RN Patient Care Manager to support medical clinic
  • Call schedule: after hours phone triage is shared
  • Supportive work environment, providers collaborate/mentor to accomplish the mission to serve the under resourced population. Professional, respectful, collaborative, patient-focused, results-driven.

Required qualifications:

  • Iowa Licensed and Board Certified as Family Practice Physician

  • CME: 5-10 days per year based on experience + $3,000-$4,000/year
