**Optometrist opening in Wisconsin** Located in Eau Claire, WI 90 miles from Minneapolis Department of Ophthalmology in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a board-eligible/certified Optometrist to join our team. We are seeking a motivated, self-starter who is interested in growing with our busy practice. The individual selected for this position will provide eye examinations to diagnose acute eye disease and vision loss, as well as provide contact lens fittings, follow-up appointments and make appropriate referrals to medical providers. Extensive knowledge of physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, ocular pharmacology, and management of acute and chronic eye conditions are expected. This practice consists of a large multi-specialty eye practice, collegial working atmosphere, up to date diagnostic equipment, and support provided by excellent certified ophthalmic assistants. Teaching/ academic /research opportunities are available. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive care to primary and urgent care patients of all ages. - Moderate to high volume of ocular disease pathology co-management between pediatric/neuro, glaucoma, cornea, retina, and general ophthalmology. - Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient centered environment - Plan and create learning opportunities for technical staff, physician assistants and MD family medicine residents. - Educate patients and families on wellness, prevention and treatment plans - Participate in monthly grand rounds (presenter and attendee) Qualifications: - Doctor of Optometry (OD) Degree and ABO certification or eligibility (with certification required within first 3 years). - Three (3) to Five (5) years post graduate clinical experience or Residency trained, preferred
