The Iowa Primary Care Association is actively recruiting an outpatient Family Medicine physician for a community health center (also called a federally qualified health center) in Council Bluffs, IA.

This community health center's mission is, "to provide affordable, comprehensive, high-quality health care to the entire community."

Here are the details:
  • Clinic Hours: Mon – Thurs 8A – 7P, Friday 8A – 5PM, Saturday 8A-12P
  • Evening or weekends: 1 late night and rotation of ½ day on Saturday (once every 6+ weeks)
  • Schedule: 34 direct patient care hours, 6 indirect care hours
  • Patients: 16-20/day; 20 min appts
  • Number of Exam Rooms for position: 3
  • Current Staff: 1.5 MA and 0.5 RN (the RN floats between two providers)
  • Call: Rotation is 1 week at a time amongst providers, only via phone
