Family Medicine Faculty opening in GA
Located in Albany, Georgia
Full-Time & Permanent
Seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine doctor to join facility as faculty member for the residents.
Would prefer providers with several years experience and interests/experience in the following areas:
- OB/Gyn (fellowship training or good experience for supervision)
- D.O.s with OMT experience and interest
- Procedural interest
- Point-of-care ultrasound
- Simulation training experience
Position Details:
Outpatient clinic located at the Residency; Inpatient weeks with the Hospitalist group as a preceptor for Inpatient Medicine rounds
- Average 9 patients per clinic session
- Common conditions, diverse patient mix (good slice of the community)
- Clinic support staff in-house pharmacist with UGA school of Pharmacy a couple of days per week), Memory Assessment Clinic (Emory outreach for Alzheimers and dementia), Medical Assistants, Phlebotomist, On-site x-ray with Rad Tech (shared with Urgent Care clinic).
- EMR SYSTEM: ATHENA outpatient Meditech Expanse in the hospital
- 3 half days of admin, 2 half days of precepting, 5 half days of clinic, 5-6 weeks inpatient coverage (done a week at a time 7 day week). NO call at night due to Nocturnist help at night.
- Current group of 6 Faculty want to return to 8 Faculty members. Four faculty members completed training at Phoebe Family Medicine Residency. All are MDs; most have been her for over 10 years. Good diversity in group. Great opportunities for leadership.
Benefits Details:
- $215K Base Salary
- $10K Sign on, up to $15K Relocation
- Malpractice is covered. Tail coverage for anything done at Phoebe. Not provided for previous employment
- 20 days PTO plus 7 holidays
