Job Description

A New York based client is searching for a highly motivated and goal-driven Family Medicine Residency Program Director to work in the Jamaica and Queens areas. An ideal candidate is an experienced Physician who has worked to create or direct another Family Medicine Residency program. This candidate should value the organization’s culture of diversity, inclusion, equity for healthcare services, continual learning, and collaboration. This position will involve any administrative tasks, establishing partnerships, and developing a vision and mission for a new Family Medicine Residency program.

Required Qualifications

• Valid MD/DO license in New York
• Board certification in Family Medicine
• Experience with accredited Family Medicine Residency programs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience establishing an accredited Family Medicine Residency program
• 5 years of experience as a Family Medicine Physician in a clinical or community health setting

Responsibilities

• Establish accreditation for Family Medicine Residency Program through creation of a mission, vision, curriculum, and clinical partnerships
• Prepare a ACGME application and follow through after applying as the point of contact for the ACGME application
• Administer the Residency Program through leadership, management, and authority of teaching activity
• Supervision of faculty members
• Budgets program resources and oversees the program coordinator
• Develops recruitment and retention strategies, disciplinary action, and promotes the wellbeing of residents
• Provide clinical care as needed to patients in the client’s network
