Job description We are seeking a motivated, energetic, and proactive full-time Family Physician with Obstetrics (OB) experience who is committed to delivering high-quality, comprehensive healthcare services. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centred care to individuals and families, emphasising preventive medicine, health promotion, and the effective management of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary healthcare services to adults, children, and pregnant women, focusing on health promotion, disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
Deliver primary care services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including after-hours coverage as required.
Provide preventive and wellness services for adults and children, including routine screenings and immunisations.
Educate patients on health promotion, wellness, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle practices.
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in collaboration with patients, developing appropriate treatment plans.
Provide obstetric services, including prenatal and perinatal care, labor management, and delivery.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures, laboratory tests, and other relevant medical investigations.
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical guidelines and patient needs.
Prepare, maintain, and update accurate medical records, patient reports, and clinical documentation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of medical policies, clinical procedures, and standards of care.
Participate in clinical quality assessments and evaluations to promote safe, effective, and high-quality patient care.
Support the education and training of nurse practitioners, medical students, and medical residents. Participate in clinical staffing activities, Quality Assurance Committee meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and related training sessions and work groups as needed.

Qualifications

Must hold a valid medical license to practice in the State of Wisconsin.
Must have completed a Family Medicine residency program accredited by a recognized accrediting body.
Must be board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
Must be eligible for professional liability insurance coverage as a Family Physician.
Demonstrate an understanding of the social, cultural, and community factors influencing access to and utilization of healthcare services.
Possess the ability to understand patients’ needs and perspectives, align care objectives with program goals, and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with colleagues, patients, public officials, healthcare professionals, and community organisations.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, remain composed in challenging situations, exercise sound judgement, and handle sensitive or difficult interactions with professionalism and tact.
Demonstrate the ability to handle confidential information appropriately and maintain patient privacy.
Ability to interpret and comply with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, program policies, and funding requirements.
Spanish-speaking ability is preferred.
