Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
Los Angeles, CA (Westchester area, near LAX)

Overview:
Our campus-based student health center in the Westchester area of Los Angeles is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for October 2026 coverage, delivering primary care to a diverse young adult population. This role focuses on preventive care, acute and chronic disease management, and health promotion to support students' academic success and overall wellbeing.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–4:00 PM (30 hours/week)
  • Assignment duration: October 2026 coverage
  • Competitive compensation starting at $160 per hour
  • Malpractice coverage provided
  • No call responsibilities
  • Training provided prior to coverage
  • Strong institutional backing and support

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care to young adult patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of respiratory issues, STIs, and minor cuts/wounds
  • Perform end-to-end patient care per visit, including vital signs, basic blood draws, and charting, with no on-site medical assistant support
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, coordinating care with specialists and campus resources
  • Deliver preventive care services, including screenings, immunizations, and risk assessments tailored to a student population
  • Provide patient-centered counseling and education on lifestyle, mental health, sexual health, and related topics
  • Document all patient encounters accurately in the EHR, ensuring timely completion of notes and orders
  • Supervise and collaborate with Nurse Practitioners, providing clinical oversight and case review for complex presentations
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and participate in quality improvement activities, balancing clinical and administrative responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Active, current medical licensure (MD/DO) in California
  • Completion of an accredited Family Medicine residency program
  • Current DEA registration
  • Minimum 1 year of experience practicing as a Family Practice Physician
