Description

A healthcare organization in Mobile, Alabama is seeking a Primary Care Physician to provide comprehensive outpatient care to adult patients in a value-based care setting.

The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions while collaborating with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver patient-centered healthcare. This role focuses on preventive care, chronic disease management, and care coordination to improve patient outcomes.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to established standards of care
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Coordinate patient services including specialty referrals and hospital coordination
• Participate in daily team huddles with healthcare staff
• Collaborate with care team members to improve patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Support quality improvement initiatives and value-based care programs
• Participate in meetings related to quality of care and clinical outcomes
• Provide direct patient care along with associated administrative responsibilities

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine
• Active or eligible Alabama Medical License
• Active DEA License
• Medicare and Medicaid provider eligibility
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills
• Experience working in a team-based healthcare environment

Working Hours

Schedule: Full-Time

Shift Structure: Daytime Outpatient Clinic Hours

Call Requirement: Minimal or rotating call depending on practice needs
