Locum Tenens – Family Medicine with OB

$180/hour | Coastal Northern California

ARC Health along with United Indian Health Services is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine physician with OB experience for a locum tenens assignment in beautiful coastal Northern California. This role offers the opportunity to provide meaningful care in a community-focused, mission-driven healthcare system serving Native and rural populations.

Position Overview

This is a full-spectrum outpatient Family Medicine role with an emphasis on prenatal care management. The provider will work within a collaborative care team and partner closely with Sutter Coast Hospital to ensure continuity of care for patients.

Schedule

• Monday – Friday

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Rotating call schedule

Practice Details

• Average 15 patients per day

• Mix of scheduled and walk-in patients

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care

• Manage prenatal patients and provide continuity of care

• Work between two clinic locations

  • Primarily based in Del Norte County

  • Cross-coverage in Crescent City a couple of days per month

• Collaborate with hospital partners at Sutter Coast Hospital

OB Scope

The role currently focuses on outpatient prenatal management.

Participation in deliveries is to be determined based on hospital privileging requirements and delivery volume. For reference, Sutter Coast Hospital reported approximately 183 deliveries in 2025.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine

• OB experience required

• Ability to provide full-scope outpatient Family Medicine care

• Active California medical license
