A full-time Family Medicine Physician with OB Fellowship training is sought to help grow and shape a Family Practice with Obstetrics program in a supportive, community-based setting. This opportunity offers an excellent work-life balance with predictable call, strong specialty support, and modern clinical resources.

The practice is supported by OB nurse practitioners, a Board-Certified Gynecologist, Family Practice providers, and a collaborative hospital-based team including hospitalists and surgical specialists. This is an ideal opportunity for a physician seeking autonomy, procedural OB experience including C-sections, and a balanced lifestyle.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Family Medicine care with obstetrical services
• Perform C-sections and manage labor & delivery patients
• Provide prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care
• Manage low- and moderate-risk pregnancies
• Collaborate with OB/GYN, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary hospital teams
• Participate in a predictable 1:4 shared call schedule
• Provide routine outpatient Family Medicine services
• Utilize EMR systems in both hospital and clinic settings

Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board Eligible (with plan to become Board Certified within 1 year of employment) or Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Completion of OB Fellowship prior to start date
• Must be able and willing to perform C-sections
• Eligible for or able to obtain Iowa medical license
• Clean malpractice history preferred
• Recent or upcoming OB Fellowship graduates welcome
• Not accepting locums or visa-dependent candidates

Working Hours

• Full-time position
• Clinic-based practice with hospital OB coverage
• 1:4 shared call schedule
• Predictable, non-burdensome call structure

Skills

• Proficiency in C-sections and obstetrical procedures
• Strong prenatal and postpartum management skills
• Ability to manage low- and moderate-risk pregnancies
• Collaborative team-based approach to care
• Excellent patient communication and continuity-of-care skills
• Comfort working across outpatient and hospital settings
