LOCUMS – FAMILY MEDICINE WITH OB
Location: John Day, Oregon
Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)
Start Date: May 18, 2026
Assignment Length: 6 months to 1 year (extension potential)
Willing to License: Yes
QUICK OVERVIEW
• Schedule: 10-hour days; flexibility for Monday–Friday coverage
• Call: OB call 1:3
• Patients per Day: 16–18 scheduled
• Average Daily Census: 10–15
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults
• EMR: Cerner CommunityWorks
• Board Certification: Family Medicine – Board Certified Required
LICENSE REQUIREMENTS
• Oregon license required (preferred at time of submission)
• DEA required
• Willing to license: Yes
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS
• BLS
• ACLS
• NRP
OB Competency Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 deliveries in the past 24 months
• For C-sections:
– Demonstrated current competence
– Successful completion of 30 total Cesarean births
CLINICAL SCOPE
Primary Role:
Family Practice Physician with OB experience (OB and/or Surgical OB preferred)
Women’s health experience required
OB & Women’s Health Includes:
• Prenatal care
• Deliveries
• Outpatient OB/GYN care
Procedures Expected:
• Vaginal deliveries
• C-sections (if qualified)
• IUD and Nexplanon placement
• Colposcopies
• Pap smears
• Suturing
• Joint injections
• Casting and splinting
• Toenail removals
• Excisions and biopsies
ON-SITE SUPPORT
• MDs
• DOs
• NPs
