Job description
We are seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locum position at their outpatient clinic in East China, MI. This role is ideal for a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine who can provide consistent coverage three days per week.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage a patient load of 12–16 patients per day
• Perform minor in-office procedures (2 designated procedure rooms)
• Collaborate with 1 NP and assigned MA (1:1 support ratio)
• Use Athena EMR for documentation
• Order and review labs drawn in-house
• No on-call or weekend responsibilities
• No in-house radiology
Qualifications
• Active Michigan Medical License
• Valid MI DEA license
• ACLS & BLS (AHA) certification
• Clean background for quick credentialing
• Able to commit to 3 days/week (Monday-Wednesday preferred)
Working Hours
• Schedule: 3 days per week (preferably Mon–Wed; flexible)
• Weekend Requirements: None
• On-Call Requirements: None
Skills
• Proficiency in EMR systems (Athena preferred)
• Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment
• Efficient time management and patient care practices
