🧑⚕️ Role Summary
The Outpatient Physician will provide comprehensive primary care services to adult and pediatric patients in a rural tribal healthcare setting. This includes routine outpatient care, urgent evaluations, and participation in quality improvement and teaching activities. Preference is given to candidates with experience in prenatal and postpartum care.
Pay Rate: $150 - $160/HR
Job Responsibilities
• Deliver outpatient medical care for adults and children
• Conduct patient interviews, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations
• Develop and manage treatment plans, including preventive care and follow-up
• Respond to all “Code Blue” emergencies within the Outpatient Department
• Document all patient encounters in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Collaborate with allied health professionals to address medical, psychological, and social needs
• Participate in peer review, teaching, and performance improvement activities
• Comply with CMS, EMTALA, Joint Commission, and WRSU policies
• Coordinate referrals and complete Contract Health Services documentation
Qualifications
• Completion of one of the following residences:
o Family Medicine
o Internal Medicine
o Pediatrics
o Combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics
• Board certified or board eligible
• Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state, D.C., or Puerto Rico
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Eligible for credentialing and privileging through WRSU
• Must pass federal background checks and fingerprinting prior to starting
Working Hours
Monday–Friday: 08:00–17:00
Monday–Thursday: Extended hours until 20:00
o Cibecue Health Center:
Monday–Friday: 08:00–17:00
o WRSU Outpatient Clinics:
Monday–Thursday: 17:00–20:00
