Job Title : Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)
Location : Lewes, DE
Job Type: Full Time
Shifts: Monday to Friday - 8.30 am to 4 pm
Facility: Out patient
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and caring Primary Care Physician to deliver high-quality outpatient care. You will be the central point of care for patients, focusing on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and health education in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations: medical history, physical exams, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic illnesses; develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide preventive care, including immunizations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling.
  • Prescribe medications and other therapies, and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient follow-up and referrals.
  • Educate patients about self-care, disease prevention, and healthy behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using an electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to clinical guidelines.
  • Stay current with medical research, advances, and best practices.
Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or equivalent.
  • Valid state medical license.
  • DEA registration (or equivalent) as required.
  • Experience (or eligibility) in outpatient primary care.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered, preventive care.
Work Schedule & Environment
  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Standard business hours (daytime).
  • Outpatient setting.
  • No weekend calls or overnight duty.
