Overview
Thriving Family Medicine with Obstetrics opportunity in Algona, IA. This position offers a busy practice with instant patient volume, C-sections, full spectrum family medicine including ER & hospitalist work, and strong specialty support.
Practice Highlights
• Join 8 Physicians + 3 Advanced Practice Providers
• Full-spectrum Family Medicine including surgical obstetrics, ER, and hospitalist
• Call: OB/Hospitalist – 1:9; C-sections – 1:3
• Specialists on site: Cardiology, Urology, GI, ENT, Orthopedics, and more
• Comprehensive diagnostic & support services: Lab, X-ray, MRI, CT, Mammography, Nuclear Med, PT, RT, OT, ER
• 25-bed critical access hospital + primary care clinic
• Part of a larger regional health system covering 14 counties with extensive referral network
• Not accepting Locums
• Open to H1B and J1 visa candidates
Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine (BE within 3 years, must become BC within 1 year of employment) – Required
• OB Fellowship-trained (must be completed prior to start) – Required
• Must be able and willing to perform C-sections – Required
• IA License or IMLC (or ability to obtain) – Required
Schedule & Coverage
• Full-time practice with clinic, hospitalist, OB, surgical obstetrics, and ER responsibilities
• Call for OB/Hospitalist: 1:9
• Call for C-sections: 1:3
Compensation & Benefits
• $250,000 sign-on bonus (paid over 5 years)
