Job Description
- Direct teaching supervision of residents through precepting in the family practice office and rounding with residents
- Call 1 night/week; and 1:5-1:6 weekend call (Friday-Sunday)
- 19 Family Medicine Residents in the program
- Epic EMR
- Responsible for supervising, teaching, and monitoring the family medicine component of the residency program.
- Supervise resident management of labor and delivery of prenatal clinic patients when on call
- Oversight of curriculum and required reading material for residents
- Develop family medicine curricula, and coordinate for residents/medical students adhering to the ACGME guidelines
- Advise, provide feedback, evaluate and counsel residents on a regular basis as program advisor
- Participate in the faculty practice with Family Practice group.
- Present bi-monthly lectures to residents and students as needed
- Attend on a rotational basis, the program and practice commitments with outside organizations (Nursing Homes, The Children’s Institute, Medical School, Universities, etc.)
