Geriatric Medicine opportunity in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Employed position
Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan is seeking to hire a Board Certified MD/DO to work with their Geriatric Medical Service. Physician will collaborate with nurse practitioners covering area skilled nursing facilities in Kalamazoo and Battle Creek overseeing the medical care of our patients after hospital transfers. Physician will make the first admission visit and help NPs with more complex patients as needed. This position will be M-F with flexible work hours and will require some Saturday rotations as well as an on-call rotation. Candidates must have a passion for working with the frail elder population with complex medical conditions and multiple co-morbidities. Ideal candidate will be fellowship trained in geriatrics or will consider internal medicine and family medicine with geriatric preferable SNF experience.
Physician will be hospital employed with a competitive salary, relocation assistance and sign-on bonus.
