Geriatrics Medical Director Opening in Pensacola, FL Full-Time | Internal Medicine or Family Medicine | Geriatrics Experience Preferred A community-based PACE program in Pensacola, Florida is seeking a Board-Certified Internist or Family Medicine physician to serve as Medical Director for its interdisciplinary care team serving frail older adults. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for a physician with strong clinical, leadership, and geriatric experience. Program Overview: The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) serves individuals 55+ who are certified to need nursing home-level care but wish to live independently in the community. The program provides a full continuum of care and support services, helping seniors maintain their independence and quality of life for as long as possible. Position Responsibilities: * Provide medical leadership and oversight of participant care, clinical outcomes, and the QAPI (Quality Assurance Performance Improvement) program * Conduct initial and periodic assessments of participants, develop treatment plans, and deliver care in various settings * Supervise and provide guidance to Primary Care Providers (PCPs) and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) * Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning * Educate participants and caregivers about medical conditions and treatment options * Oversee implementation of medical standards, policies, and protocols * Participate in the on-call provider rotation as required * Weekend call coverage may be required depending on rotation schedule Minimum Requirements: * Active, unrestricted Florida medical license * Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine * Board Certification or experience in Geriatrics – Preferred * DEA Registration and CDS Certification * At least 1 year of experience working with frail or elderly populations * Previous supervisory experience * Effective in chronic disease management and physical assessment of older adults * Comfortable working in a dynamic, team-based care model with shifting priorities Compensation & Benefits: * Competitive base salary: $240,000 – $270,000 * Performance-based incentives * Supportive, interdisciplinary team environment * Opportunities for professional growth and leadership development * Please note: Application and credentialing fees are not reimbursed
