Nursing Home Medical Director opening in Albany, NY (Permanent) This is a permanent position. Opportunity Details: Full-time Medical Director/Physician role caring for residents in nonprofit skilled nursing homes Lead and provide care across 7 skilled nursing facilities in the Capital Region Settings include long-term care, subacute rehab, and memory care (two sites follow the Green House model) Work within a collaborative medical team of physicians and nurse practitioners On-site specialists available: Podiatry, Psychiatry, Psychology, and Optometry Partnership with Albany College of Pharmacy, including a Geriatric Pharmacotherapy Service Supported by experienced leadership in nursing, medical, quality, and residential services Teaching opportunities with Albany Medical College’s Geriatric Fellowship Program Requirements: Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Geriatric Medicine or Hospice & Palliative Care certification preferred (not required) Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential preferred (not required) Passion for eldercare and working in a collaborative, mission-driven environment Compensation/Benefits: Base salary: $250,000 – $280,000 Relocation allowance available Health, vision, and dental insurance Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage CME allowance with dedicated time off Paid time off 403(b) retirement savings program with employer match PSLF eligible (nonprofit employer) Location: Albany, NY and the surrounding Capital Region offer a mix of suburban and urban living Access to the Adirondacks, Hudson Valley, Berkshires, and Saratoga Springs for recreation and culture Within 3 hours of New York City, Boston, and Montreal
