We are seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens coverage at a well-established outpatient clinic in Franklin, VA. The assignment is to cover an upcoming provider departure and will involve rotating between two clinic locations based on patient demand.
This is an outpatient-only position with no call, no inpatient, and no emergency department backup responsibilities. You'll be supported by an experienced advanced practice provider in the clinic and will see approximately 20–25 patients per day, ranging from age 16 through geriatrics.
Job Responsibilities
Schedule: Minimum of 2 weeks per month commitment required
Call: None
Patient Volume: 20–25 patients/day
Age Range: 16 and up (no OB or pediatrics under 16)
Support Staff: 1 mid-level provider on-site
Supervision Responsibilities: None
EMR: EPIC
Exam Rooms: 2 per location
On-Site Services: Blood draw; AED available
Qualifications
Active Virginia medical license – REQUIRED
BLS Certification – REQUIRED
Must be local – only mileage reimbursement provided
Must be available at least 2 weeks per month

Monday - Thursday 7a - 6p (1 hour lunch) or
Monday - Friday 8a-5p (1 hour lunch) or
Monday - Thursday 7a -5:30p (30 min lunch)
