Join Our Geriatric Medicine Team in Grand Rapids, MI!

Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is seeking a full-time Geriatric Physician to join our dedicated Geriatrics Team located in the vibrant city of Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role offers the opportunity to work in a facility that provides comprehensive care to patients in multiple local nursing facilities, while also supporting an Advanced Care Coordination Program. Our practice emphasizes work/life balance and encourages professional development through teaching opportunities for Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to a diverse geriatric patient population.
  • Support Trinity Health's Advanced Care Coordination Program.
  • Engage in teaching and mentorship for Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows.
  • Enjoy autonomy and flexibility in your scheduling, with adequate visit lengths.
  • Participate in shared call responsibilities among providers.
  • Emphasize a collaborative practice environment that promotes professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within 2 years) or Board Certified in Geriatrics Medicine.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with significant experience in Geriatrics.
  • Demonstrated experience working with geriatric patients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Michigan medical license.
  • Active DEA registration (or willingness to obtain).
  • BLS and ACLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.
  • Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) is required.
