Trinity Health Medical Group (THMG) is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a Geriatrics Physician to become part of our dedicated Geriatrics Team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This vibrant city provides a supportive environment with access to eight local nursing facilities and the innovative Trinity Health at Home Thrive Program, which focuses on advanced care coordination.

Our practice is supportive of work-life balance, with autonomy and flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the needs of a complex patient population.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Care for patients across eight local nursing facilities.
  • Support and engage in the Trinity Health at Home Thrive Program.
  • Teach Residents, Medical Students, and Fellows.
  • Collaborate with a practice leadership team that values your work-life balance.
  • Manage patient visits that are adequately timed for complex needs.
  • Share call responsibilities among providers.
  • Open to new graduates with a completed Fellowship in Geriatrics.
  • Consider experienced candidates in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • Board Eligible candidates must become Board Certified within 2 years.
  • Not accepting candidates with lapsed Board Certification.
  • Position not available for commuters or those seeking secondary employment.
  • Locum candidates and visa requests will not be accepted.

Qualifications:

  • Board Eligible (must achieve Board Certification within 2 years) or Board Certified in Geriatric Medicine.
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine with Geriatrics experience is acceptable.
  • Experience working with the Geriatric population.
  • Valid Michigan license (or willing to obtain).
  • DEA certification (or willing to obtain).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (or willing to obtain).
  • Clean malpractice history is highly preferred.

Licensure and Certification Requirements:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatrics Medicine.
  • MI Medical License (or willing to obtain).
  • DEA Registration (or willing to obtain).
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
