Internal/Family Medicine Physician - Chinle, AZ

Job type - Full Time
Compensation: $300,000 per year based on 2,087 hours ($143.75/hr)

Location: Chinle, AZ is a center of Navajo culture and gateway to the awe-inspiring Canyon de Chelly National Monument. This close-knit community offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural immersion. Flagstaff, vibrant city with museums, restaurants, and a lively atmosphere, is a 3-hour drive away.


Job Responsibilities

Diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and management of various medical conditions.
Delivering preventive care, managing chronic conditions, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
Participating in call schedules, providing telemedicine services, and caring for critically ill patients.
Conducting patient evaluations, ordering and interpreting tests, and developing treatment plans.
Referring patients to specialists, documenting care in the EHR, and adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO);
Thirty-six (36) months of Family Practice or Internal Medicine Residency Training or forty-eight (48) months of Internal Medicine & Pediatric Residency Training; this residency must have taken place in the U.S
Board certification; if not board certified, candidate must be board eligible and within 12months of finishing a residency program
Current and unrestricted licenses to practice medicine in any US state, DC, or Puerto Rico
Valid, unrestricted DEA license with Schedules II-V, or willingness to attain this prior to starting work
Current certifications in CPR, BLS, and ACLS, or willingness to attain this prior to starting work

Working Hours

Shifts - Days (Mon – Fri)
40 hours per week on a Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm schedule plus some on call duty
