Director of Endocrinology opening in Pittsburgh PA

Healthcare organization is currently accepting CVs from endocrinologists who are also experienced physician leaders interested in overseeing our growing Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism in the thriving city of Pittsburgh, PA and its surrounding suburbs. The Division Director is an important, high-visibility leadership role and will oversee a multidisciplinary team; including 10 physicians, 3 mid-level providers, 10 Certified Diabetes Educators/Dieticians, 1 Pharm-D and 27 staff members.
The Division Director will lead and drive strategy across 6 Hospitals and 8 outpatient locations. The Endocrinology Division offers the following services: Outpatient Thyroid Ultrasound, Womens Endocrinology Program, Comprehensive Bone Health Program, Center for Diabetes and a nationally recognized Neuroendocrine Center. Significant growth in Allegheny Health Networks Center for Diabetes is also projected fostered by considerable foundation support and NIH-funded research, also propelled by the utilization of innovative strategies, advanced technologies and interdisciplinary team-based care delivery models.
The position also includes academic responsibilities at an Associate Professor or Professor level including but not limited to research (basic, translational, clinical and outcomes-based), education and training within an Endocrinology Fellowship Program and a large Internal Medicine Residency Program.
In addition to an academic appointment and a competitive compensation package including health insurance, PTO, paid malpractice, CME allowances and more, the position offers reliable support staff and an opportunity for career development within a collegial academic environment.
The successful candidate must have demonstrated prior leadership experience, a proven track record of program development, commitment to education and research and the ability to lead in a complex, fast-paced environment. The candidate must be fellowship trained and board certified in Endocrinology.
