Physician (MD/DO) – Endocrinology
Waldorf, MD

Overview:
Our internal medicine practice in Waldorf is seeking an Endocrinologist to provide expert evaluation and management of complex endocrine disorders, with a strong emphasis on diabetes and thyroid disease in an older adult population. No experience is necessary — new grads and experienced physicians alike are encouraged to apply for this full-time role with minimal call responsibilities.

Position Offers:

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 4:30 PM
  • Competitive salary: $265,000–275,000 per year (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive consultations and follow-up visits for patients with endocrine disorders, with a particular focus on diabetes and thyroid disease in geriatric populations
  • Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of endocrine conditions, including pituitary, adrenal, metabolic bone, and reproductive hormone disorders
  • Interpret endocrine imaging studies and laboratory tests to formulate evidence-based treatment plans
  • Initiate, adjust, and monitor hormone replacement therapies, including thyroid, adrenal, gonadal, and other hormone regimens
  • Manage insulin therapy, including insulin pump initiation and titration, as well as continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) setup and interpretation
  • Provide structured patient education and counseling on disease processes, lifestyle modification, and self-management strategies
  • Document all encounters, assessments, and treatment plans in the EHR
  • Collaborate closely with primary care, geriatrics, nursing, and allied health professionals to ensure coordinated, multidisciplinary care

Qualifications:

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
  • Active, current medical licensure (MD/DO) in Maryland
  • Prior experience in a high-volume outpatient endocrine or geriatric-focused practice preferred
  • Comfort with telemedicine platforms and remote patient monitoring tools preferred
