Located in Des Moines, IA – Ames 40m; Iowa City 115m; Omaha, NE 135m
Full-time; Permanent; Employed
Seeking BC/BE in Endocrinology
H1B Cap-Exempt Visa Assistance; J1 Waiver Sponsorship
Overview:
* Join an established endocrinology team consisting of 2 physicians and 2 advanced practitioners, with plans for continued growth
* Strong referral base with a steady stream of new consultation requests
* Current schedule offers no call or weekend responsibilities; future expansion to a 1:4 call rotation with minimal inpatient burden supported by a robust hospitalist program
* Average patient volume of 15-17 adults per day
* Ability to download and manage all insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors
* Dedicated RN assigned to each provider with additional CMA support and low staff turnover
* In-office Certified Diabetes Educator meets with new diabetic patients prior to physician appointments, with additional diabetes educators available throughout the system
* Onsite laboratory capabilities
* Gestational diabetes managed by Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists
* Opportunity to participate in resident and medical student education, though teaching is optional
* Fully integrated Epic EMR system supporting seamless care coordination
